CANSWUG August Meeting

On Thursday 12 August the Canterbury SolidWorks User Group (CANSWUG) met at SCS. Thanks to SCS for putting on a great show and Stuart Stratton from Transtech Dynamics for his interesting presentation.

Model Mania was also a hot topic. Congratulations to Darren Marchant for winning the Model Mania challenge and taking home the coveted prize trophy! (and beer) Some of you have asked for a copy of Damien's model so please click here for the SolidWorks file and click here for the demo.

You will find other cool CANSWUG stuff in our new Google group. The aim of this group is to compliment the CANSWUG meetings and will provide a general forum for discussion, hints and tips, and information relating to the Canterbury Engineering and SolidWorks community. We hope that you will become members and participate actively in growing this group. Your feedback is welcome.

To join the group it's a 2 minute process. Just simply follow these steps:

1. Click here.
2. Click "sign in and apply for membership"
3. If you don't have a Google sign in, you will need to create an account first by clicking the "create an account" button. Simply use your existing work email and create a password and nickname
4. Once signed in you will then be redirected to the "Join" form where you can specify how you wish to receive updates about the group. Click "Apply to group"
5. Once approved you will receive an email from noreply@googlegroups.com which will have a link directly to group

Once a member you will be able to bookmark the group and visit with a single click.
