CANSWUG June Meeting

On Tuesday 22 June the Canterbury SolidWorks User Group (CANSWUG) was re-launched with a great evening. Karl from our team here at Motovated talked about using SolidWorks large assembly techniques for designing buses for Designline. Please click here for a copy of the presentation.

Damien from Solidtec did a presentation on complex sheetmetal and multibody modelling. It was great to see an application of multibody sheetmetal, new to SolidWorks 2010 and some flattening of complex lofted bends. To see this demo please click here.

Congratulations to Anton and Nick from G-Tech Bellmor and Karl from Motovated for coming 1st in the SolidWorks Quiz and winning the coveted SolidWorks Prize cup and a crate of beer. For a copy of the questions and the PowerPoint from the evening, please click here.

During the meeting we handed out a survey just to gain some feedback as how you would like the group to be run. Click here for the results. Amongst other things it showed that most of you are after advanced SW tips and were happy with our chosen 5:30pm meeting time.
