Hamilton Seminar Update
29 OCTOBER 2010
On 14 October 2010, in conjunction with Opportunity Hamilton, Motovated Design & Analysis and Tompkins Wake ran a free workshop on
Developing Products to Deliver Value and IP Management.
This was a practical workshop presented by Jonathan Prince and Linda Robinson, and demonstrated ways to integrate IP planning
and protection into the innovation process, improve innovation, decrease development spending and increase return on investment
using proven design systems. |

This was a very interesting workshop with Linda Robinson from Tomkins Wake, who takes a very holistic approach to protecting your
Intellectual Property (IP). A lot of work went into developing this workshop and we’ll be running some more around the Waikato region.
The Hamilton attendees were probably the most diverse bunch that I’ve talked to on Product Development, probably due to the sort of
industry that Opportunity Hamilton cater for, but nonetheless, a very interesting crowd.
It always amazes me how companies and people that you think really wouldn’t be into design and developing product are jumping in boots and
all. From many different industries, and taking very different approaches to solving the issues at hand. Real ingenuity in true Kiwi
style!
We’re looking forward to ongoing and future relationships with a number of these companies.
