Machine Design services for your business!
Do you need to design an engine for a specific application? Do you require the experience and tools to analyse complex motions, stresses or thermal effects? Let the expert mechanical engineers at Motovated use efficient design processes, tools and expert engineering knowledge to engineer your vision!
Design for Manufacture
Motovated has an established track record of designing special purpose machinery which reliably produce consistently high-quality products. Our skilled mechanical engineers have provided solutions for many of our clients, often enabling them to keep production in-house.
Great Consumer Machinery design requires specialist knowledge which includes regulatory and end user considerations as well as a wide range of mechanical design skills. Motovated provides its clients with the diverse set of skill-sets required to produce top quality Consumer Machinery. Services include needs analysis, user centric research, Product Specification, project planning and management, detailed design, design for manufacture, virtual prototyping, physical prototyping, production machinery design, off tool validation, and commissioning.
We have had the privilege to work on a lot of fun ideas that people have come up with, which tend to fall more into the consumer design category. The same design principles still apply though… it has to be cost-effective to make, it has to work as intended and it has to look good! If you have a novel idea but aren’t sure how to get it into the market, then we can help you with everything from your patent application drawings, conceptual design through to a fully engineered product and manufacturing drawings.
Part Design requires a high level of understanding of clearance, tolerance, and surface finishing. Selecting, and designing for appropriate manufacturing processes is also essential. Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) etc. are important considerations in part design which Motovated Engineers provide naturally.
Drafting or Draughting
The manufacturing drawings and orthographic views are created directly from the CAD models, and are fully associative. This means that any changes to the part geometry are accurately reflected in every view. Machining and assembly dimensioning, tolerancing and part detailing are completed to the highest standard.
