Designing a Better Future: How Motovated Helped Vestner NZ Redefine Platform Lifts At Motovated Design & Analysis, our mission is…
Motovated are not Pressure Vessel or Crane Design Verifiers with respect to the PECPR Regulations. but our team of experienced mechanical engineers have significant experience in the design and analysis of such systems and have supported many clients navigate their legal requirements. Often this equipment is part of a wider mechanical system which may not require specific Design Verification and so having Motovated support with the whole project can be beneficial.
You may be interested to know that not all pressure vessels are equal. Depending on the level of risk they impose to the general public they may not require specific Design Verification, in which case one of our Chartered Engineer’s can confidently, competently and legally provide sign off.
Motovated has significant experience executing Finite Element Analysis on Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping systems, considering all functional and environment load cases in accordance with AS1210:2010 for Pressure Vessels and ASME B31 series for Pressure Piping. These include but to limited to; working pressures, design pressures, test pressures, thermal expansion, seismic, wind, restraints, fixed and floating considerations, differential movement.
In the event a system requires 3rd party design verification, there are a number of firms which Motovated has a good working relationship with who can review our calculation sets and provide the appropriate certification.
Cranes are a specialist area and are carefully categorised. For detailed list see here.
